It's just easier that way. :-)

Thanks for the comment and for having my back there, bud.Joe Blackmonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609279285784683781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6544357985732366608.post-169090006432644052009-08-26T22:37:47.297-05:002009-08-26T22:37:47.297-05:00Chris, applying your definition of apostasy to the...Chris, applying your definition of apostasy to the situation with the ELCA fits it perfectly. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America was once a body where faith existed. Now it doesn't. I don't see how that makes "Perseverance of the Saints" incorrect. Those in the ELCA who were true believers have either died, left the denomination, or are about to. Nothing in the verse Joe quoted or in what happened with the ELCA proves anyone lost their salvation.St. Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01238671101561121436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6544357985732366608.post-81481352297353745852009-08-26T05:43:58.500-05:002009-08-26T05:43:58.500-05:00Chris

Which means that faith once existed and exists no more. Which means that for apostasy to really occur, "Once saved, always saved," or the Calvinist understanding of "Perseverance of the Saints," is incorrect.Chris Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11223315390654119564noreply@blogger.com
