Would you advise starting with a free platform like
Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there
that I'm totally overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator." (Colossians 3:5-10)

in book of Colossians Paul addresses not only that of what we are to take off with our old desires but what we are to put on..

"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." (colossians 3:12-14)

"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." (colossians 3:1-4)

Dealing with sexual sin is never easy just as any strong hold that is in our flesh.. we must renew our minds to the new life we have in Christ Jesus...Ask for forgiveness and for Christ's strength to conquer fleshly passions...setting your minds on Christ not on your sexual desires. Just as a man has the option to look and look away.. so does every person with any temptation...The more you stand on God's strength in your life the less intense you will find the battle will become.

Hope this helps you in your day to day life in Jesus. I pray that God will use you not in discovering the intrigue of a sinful man's mind but for helping others who have struggled with your stronghold to become more more victorious in Christ our Lord as he has used me in others lives. Keeping you in prayer. God's love..

Ambrosia JoshuaAmbrosiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05422526135469199773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6544357985732366608.post-199187688206103062009-09-29T18:47:58.097-05:002009-09-29T18:47:58.097-05:00Adrian,

In my Faith and Critical reasoning class, there are some really intelligent students but theyre always down the bible's throat trying to show how ridiculous it is. And, i always have to be on top of the scriptures to make sure i can defend it.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15191450883852837193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6544357985732366608.post-79660704652707813962009-01-15T15:08:00.000-06:002009-01-15T15:08:00.000-06:00ZachI'm glad you were encouraged. But I seriously wonder what is right when it's a mind/heart issue and it's a selfish thing to do -- esp when you're married. I'll do a post one day and we'll see if anyone bites. So stay tuned.

HeidiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6544357985732366608.post-42491546557657934082009-01-05T18:24:00.000-06:002009-01-05T18:24:00.000-06:00HeidiI hope you don't take this wrong but I'm not ...Heidi

I hope you don't take this wrong but I'm not sure I would feel comfortable giving any sort of perspective on that particular topic. I think this is probably the first comment I've ever read on my blog that had me speechless.

I guess I need to get out more often. Or maybe not as the case may be.

Have a good day and thanks for stopping by.Joe Blackmonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609279285784683781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6544357985732366608.post-27231831881709080402009-01-05T17:23:00.000-06:002009-01-05T17:23:00.000-06:00And the elephant in the room is holding a sign tha...And the elephant in the room is holding a sign that says "masturbation".

I have felt convicted on that one for a long time. I try so hard not to give in to my own fleshy temptation to "relieve myself" and instead try to save it for my husband. Sometimes the battle that rages on in my own mind and heart is intense.

But if I am using images in my mind to stimulate my sexual "needs" so that I can manually get myself to climax, is that ok in God's eyes? I think not.

How about you? This subject always intrigues me from a man's perspective.

I really want to do a post about this someday. I just have to figure out how I'm gonna say it first. Great job!!

Heidi ReedAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
