Taking a Stand for Righteousness

A gentleman over at World News Daily wrote a commentary recently about Rick Warren tip-toeing through the tulips on the issue of gay marriage called "America's wishy-washy pastors" You should really read the whole article because it is a good one. I think the following quote sums up the whole issue pretty nicely for folks who think "Homosexuality is no worse than other sins" or "Well, we don't need to offend people. Let's get to know them first".

There is no middle ground on this issue.

Either you believe the Bible or you don't.

If you don't, there are consequences. If you do, you are obligated to take a stand for righteousness. Of course, there are worldly consequences for that, too – for some apparently too great to accept. Followers of Yeshua have a choice: They can please God or please men. They can accept God's laws, which are not burdensome, and obey them, or they can reject them and try to tickle the ears of men. They can offend God or offend men.

'Nuff said.

Gosh, Joe.

You sure do obsess about the gays.

I was out of town for a week and unable to continue commenting on your blog.

I came back with every intent to start rebutting, but I realize two things: 1) You are proud of your closed-mindedness, and unlikely to seriously entertain my point of view, and 2) You basically have no readers, so I'm not really communicating with ANYBODY if I post here.

So... adios.

No, actually, I'm open minded to listening to exactly what the Bible says and I'm unwilling to entertain liberal views of scripture.

Dude, you are just NOW figuring that out. Bwahahaha

Oh, due to some familiy health concerns recently I have not finished part 4 of my rebuttal to your comment that you claimed I censored. You will notice once I finish posting that the only parts of your comment that will not have been published will be your comment directed to another commenter on the blog and the word m*************. So I guess that means I suck at censoring stuff.

Where does the bible say that homosexuality is worse than other sins?

Phil

Sexual sins defile the body. He who sins sexually sins against himself. The hypathetical quote of a christian saying "Homosexuality is no worse than any other sin" had more to do with those who say that we should not call homosexuals to repent of their sin. Christians should call all people everywhere to repent of their sins and trust Christ as their Savior.
